El Paso Disposal Encourages Donations to ReStore
Don’t let valuable materials go to waste – consider donating items to Habitat for Humanity ReStore before placing construction materials, plumbing items, appliances, and many other items into the trash
El Paso Disposal supports donating useful items to ReStore because recycling reduces the impact on our environment and reduces the amount of materials in our landfills.
Donations to ReStore are resold and profits go into Habitats for Humanity’s homeownership program for low-income families. Items donated will not be used in the construction of the new Habitat for Humanity homes, however, but the donations generate the money that greatly helps fund the projects that build good, affordable housing for low-income families.
Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope, and donating items to organizations like ReStore help in a variety of ways:
- Donating keeps usable items out of the landfill;
- Donating helps others;
- Donating may have tax benefits – get a receipt when you donate;
- Decreases the environmental impact of producing new products; and,
- Creates jobs and economic activity in local communities.
Several items can be of value to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore outlet and the organization’s mission that they don’t need to wind up in the trash and taking valuable space in the local landfill. ReStore accepts donations of:
